About Care for the Future

Care for the Future is a pioneering initiative under the Big Sister brand, designed to champion sustainability and social value within the UK care sector. Through our pledge-based approach, we help care businesses demonstrate their commitment to ethical practices, environmental responsibility, and community impact — aligning with both public expectations and government contract requirements.

We’re now seeking a dedicated Project Marketing Manager to lead the charge, ensuring we onboard 50+ care businesses in Year 1 and scale to 500 by Year 3.

The Role

This role is perfect for someone with a passion for purpose, a strong marketing mind, and a deep understanding of both the care sector and sustainability principles. You’ll be responsible for generating awareness, driving engagement, and converting care companies into proud pledge-makers.

From managing day-to-day campaigns to joining strategic conversations with senior leaders, you’ll be a key player in the growth and impact of Care for the Future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead generation & engagement
  • Design and implement campaigns to attract care businesses to the pledge
  • Build a steady stream of monthly sign-ups to meet growth goals
  • Create messaging that resonates with both values and outcomes

 

  • Marketing & content strategy
  • Own all content across social media, email and blog platforms
  • Develop informative, inspiring campaigns focused on sustainability and social value
  • Ensure brand consistency and impact in all external communications

 

  • Reporting & performance tracking
  • Produce quarterly sustainability progress reports for participating businesses
  • Collaborate with the development team to automate reporting systems
  • Own and deliver KPIs related to reach, engagement, and conversion

 

  • Internal collaboration & strategy
  • Participate in regular strategy meetings with the wider Big Sister team
  • Provide insights and data to support new initiatives and refine current offerings
  • Ensure Care for the Future continues to evolve with the needs of the sector

Your Targets

  • 50+ businesses onboarded in Year 1
  • 500 businesses pledged by Year 3
  • Consistent monthly sign-ups and campaign performance
  • Production of accurate and engaging quarterly reports
  • High engagement across all communication platforms

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Knowledgeable in sustainability and social value within the UK business or public sector landscape
  • Experienced in the care sector and understands the pressures and potential of providers
  • Digitally-savvy, with a strong background in campaign planning and performance marketing
  • Highly organised, with excellent time management and the ability to juggle moving parts
  • Passionate about creating impact, not just hitting numbers

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing, project management, or a related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sustainability, ESG, or social value strategies
  • Experience in or deep understanding of the UK care sector
  • Skilled in creating and analysing performance reports
  • Comfortable using digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and collaborating with developers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Must be able to drive and have access to own car, as this role may require travelling at sometimes short notice
