Big Sister is pleased to announce that we are recruiting two new Junior Bid Managers to join our UK-based team, supporting our expanding network of homecare and healthcare businesses across the country.

As Big Sister continues to scale its initiatives — including Care Growth Alliance, Care with Confidence, Care for the Future, SisterStaff, and Founder’s Circle — the need for additional bid management capacity has grown significantly. These new roles will help ensure care providers receive the highest level of support when bidding for local authority, NHS, and ICB contracts.

Supporting Growth for Hundreds of Future Big Sister Businesses

With Big Sister’s long-term plan to support hundreds if not thousands of Registered Managers in launching and scaling their care businesses, bid management has become one of the most crucial functions within our organisation.

The new Junior Bid Managers will play an essential role in:

  • Reviewing contract opportunities
  • Completing bid breakdowns and compliance assessments
  • Supporting the creation of high-quality tender responses
  • Working directly with Registered Managers to prepare supporting documents
  • Assisting with post-submission processes
  • Ensuring providers remain “bid-ready” all year round

They will work closely with Big Sister’s senior team, including:

  • Ima Johnstone – Bid Director
  • Calum Egginton-Robson – Head of Bid Management
  • Jill Hudson – Growth Leader for Big Sister Businesses

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking ambitious, driven individuals who:

  • Hold a Master’s degree (essential)
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Are confident speaking with clients
  • Are highly organised, proactive, and detail-focused
  • Want to build a long-term career in healthcare consulting or bid management
  • Are passionate about supporting care providers and social impact

No previous bid writing experience is required — full training will be provided.
